Welcome to our website. Baslow and Bubnell are two picturesque and lively Peak District Villages situated a mile from historic Chatsworth House and Gardens. With a population in excess of 1,200 the villages cater for local and visitor needs alike, offering good accommodation, eateries, shops, public houses and cafes.
Baslow and Bubnell, often referred to as simply "Baslow", offer the perfect location for walking and hiking, including a large convenient car park from which to start. The idyllic setting so close to Chatsworth House means the villages are lively all year round, and are a perfect base to explore the Peak District National Park.
The Parish Council is responsible for providing valuable service not only to local residents but also to those visiting our villages. Our website provides information about those services as well as our villages and will continue to evolve. The links on the right are for villagers to provide information about significant forthcoming events, and reviews of past events. Baslow and Bubnell currently have vacancies, if you want to make a difference to your village, come and join us, we are a friendly bunch from all walks of life trying to improve our lovely village.
We have many issues including Traffic and Road Safety, planning for local emergency situations, which could include snow, ice, flood, major traffic incident, missing persons, pandemics etc.
We are also looking to provide a new playground, improve and look after monuments and architectural features, we also have a statutory duty to comment on planning applications for Baslow & Bubnell.
